The Secrets to Success:
A Short Conversation with the Objects in My Office

written by Brian Vaszily, Founder of IntenseExperiences.com

I leaned back in my office chair, and we both groaned. Frustrated, I asked aloud, “What are the real secrets to success?”

“Well it starts with knowing your destination,” my map pointed out.

“And having the knowledge for your journey,” declared my books.

“You have to keep pushing,” my stapler replied.

“Because you will make mistakes,” remarked my liquid paper.

“Yeah, just stick to it,” affirmed my glue.

“But you also have to know when to step away sometimes” my door disclosed.

“And it inevitably takes some pain,” my window clarified.

“Plus keeping your thoughts organized,” added my file cabinet.

“Communicating clearly,” voiced my phone.

“And keeping your emotions in check,” my stress-ball stressed.

“So you can cut through the distracting nonsense,” my scissors imparted.

“And so you don’t get misled,” noted my pencil.

“Wow,” I replied, “for inanimate objects, you guys are pretty bright.”

“Yeah, we are, aren’t we?” said my lamp, beaming.
